Install the tool the business needs: sometimes we buy and integrate, sometimes we build. The point is that people use it.
Many CIOs do not need a new ERP. They need three screens to talk to each other, the Excel file to disappear, and the thing to hold after the holidays.
Custom does not mean “rewrite everything”. It means start from the need, choose what you buy, what you connect, what you write — then install it for real.
We start with the work
Who uses it on Monday morning. Which data. Which hosting. Who operates it. If those questions stay fuzzy, we do not plant a factory.
What we put in place
- Business portals, APIs, links between tools you already have
- Replace a file / mail process with a simple flow
- Make-or-buy: market product vs. targeted build
- UAT with users, not only with a spec
Versus “right-cost” development
Development is when we have to write software. A custom solution is the result for the business: tool in place, people trained, run planned. Sometimes there is little code. That is fine.
