An ERP generated by AI: what to do when it is already in the SI
A monolith written by a chatbot, in production, with nobody able to change it. Freeze, map, tests — then decide.
We have seen ERPs that a model wrote in a few weeks, then landed in production. It runs. Until it does not. Then nobody can change a line without fear.
Do not start by rewriting
Map what is in production. Who has access. Where the data sits. Whether backups exist. Put a test path on the paths that cost.
Then decide
Keep and harden. Or extract the bits that hold and rewrite the rest. A full rewrite is a project. It needs a reason, not a vibe.
Security and hosting are part of the same pass. If European accounts are in there, the region has to be written down.
